Best weather of the year! I got started a little earlier than usual. Probably 10 bikes for every car I saw.
There were a LOT of fast folks too.
There was some kind of police action at Blackhawk Plaza - found out later there had been a high-speed vehicle chase in the very early hours of the morning, with predictably disturbing results.

I thought this officer was waving me through... like it'd be OK for a bike to ride past the scene -
but she was telling me I had to turn away. |
